The purpose of this paper is to organize the research history of lexicology and dialectology among Korean linguistics papers published in ‘The Chin-Tan Hakpo(『震檀學報』)’ from No. 1 to No. 48. The points discussed in this paper are as follows. First of all, in Chapter 2, after confirming the paper corresponding to lexicology and dialectology, I briefly reviewed papers partially related to the field of lexicology and dialectology. Then, in Chapter 3, we looked at the papers in the field of lexicology, such as statistical and diachronic studies, starting with ‘Eomyeongjapgo(「魚名雜攷)’ in ‘The Chin-Tan Hakpo’ No. 2, and in Chapter 4, also with ‘Eomyeongjapgo’ in the field of dialectology, such as regional dialect paper and social dialect paper, was reviewed. Through these papers, which made a great contribution to the establishment of lexicology and dialectology in Korean linguistics, it was possible to get a glimpse of the influence that research during the establishment period of Korean linguistics had on the development of Korean linguistics in later generations. It is difficult to sum up its influence in one word, but it can be said to be the establishment of lexicology and dialectology through systematization. |
