OBJECTIVE To estimate the curative effect of using improving meropenem infusion scheme therapy for Acinetobacter baurnannii pneumonia. METHODS Selected 30 patients of acquired multidrug resistant A. baumannii pneumonia in our ICU from Mar 10th to Jul 10th 2006 ,and randomly divided into two groups,traditional group and improving infusion scheme group,the traditional grouprs scheme was meropenem lg iv drip Q8h,in lh;and the improving infusion group's scheme was meropenem 500mg iv drip Q6h in 3h. To compare their effective ratio in 3rd,5th and 7th day,their relapse ratio and economic burden. RESULTS There were no significant differences in effective ratio, relapse ratio and course of treatment in two groups. And there were no pan-drug-resistant bacteria and increasing in MIC. But in improving group, the economic burden for antibiotic was significant less than the traditional group, P〈0. 01. CONCLUSIONS The effect of improving meropenem infusion scheme is equal the traditional one, but more economic. |
