The emission characteristics of VOCs(volatile organic compounds) from other chemical products classified by Korean standard industry classification code (243) have been studied. The sampling was performed by using 3M OVM (organic vapor monitor) #3500 at 25 workplace and 75 sites classified into 5 different kinds of 5 digits SICC (standard industrial classification code) from September to December 2005, in Shiwha-Banwol industrial complex at Kyunggi province, Korea. The EPA 8020/8040 aromatic volatile mix (10 chemicals) was used as standard chemicals for quantitative analysis by gas concentration ranging from 0.5ppb to 69,642ppb. The order of emission concentration was toluene, ethylbenzene, m,p-xylene and styrene. Another analyzed components was benzene, chlorobenzene, o-xylene, showed very low ppb concentration compared to that of VOCs. The average ∑VOCs was 12,665 ppb in manufacture of printing ink(24323) which is the highest average ∑VOCs emission industry. The manufacture of general paints and similar products(24321) showed that the VOCs such as benzene, chlorobenzene, ethylbenzene, m,p-xylene and o-xylene is the highest average concentration. And The VOCs concentration ratio was B:T:E:X:S = 0.001:1.000:0.025:0.025:0.021 according to average ∑VOCs at each process(over n=3) in the manufacture of other chemical product. |
