The results are as follows. The most frequently published among these were those conducted by two or three co-authors concerning disorders related to digestion, hematopoietic/immunity, and nutrition/metabolism. We found the major natural materials for treating diseases and principal field of disease. Botanical drug research was on a development step than a basic step on research and development phases. Development studies have been performed on the basis of basic research. These findings suggested some prerequisites for inter-Korean R&D. First, botanical drugs list of North Korea and arrangement of terminology between North and South Korea are requested. Second, setting a priority of natural materials and agreement of technical steps need to be considered for inter-Korean R&D. Third, academic exchanges and joint research programs with global network are necessary before starting inter-Korean R&D. Finally, a new law has to be enacted for inter-Korean R&D. |
