초록 | This study examined differences in stress of workers depending on the frequency of using forestenvironment in everyday life. We surveyed 370 workers in metropolitan medical and counseling industry thatimpose high level of emotional labor. We classified them with their frequency of using forest environment; “high”group (N=226) for workers whose frequency was more than 1 or 2 times a month and “low” group (N=141) forworkers less than that. We compared their stress level with independent t-test and analyzed the relationship betweenthe frequency and each test with pearson's correlation. As a result, the “high” group had less stress response andburnout syndrome and more recovery experience than the “low” group as Worker's Stress Response Inventory(WSRI), Maslach Burnout Inventory-General Survey (MBI-GS) and Recovery Experience Questionnaire (REQ)indicated. The “high” group had better scores in both absolute and relative presenteeism in WHO Health and WorkPerformance Questionnaire (HPQ) than the “low” group though there was not enough statistical significance. Pearson's correlation reported that there was highly significant positive correlation between MBI-GS and WSRI incontrast to HPQ and REQ with low correlation. This study suggested that frequent use of forest environment isbeneficial for workers to have less stress in daily life. |
